The Mayflower uses a process known as Reverse Osmosis to generate the water for our tea. This process starts with filtering the major solutes found in standard water. The water then goes through our UV system to destroy any bacteria within the water.

Unlike chlorine treatment, which uses chemicals to kill bacteria, UV purification is a physical process. That means it neutralizes microorganisms without adding anything to the water, resulting in microbiologically safe water with no added chemicals.

Reverse Osmosis

Next the water moves through our Reverse Osmosis system. This forces water through a membrane which only allows the pure water to pass through, filtering out over 99% of particulates in water.

Finally, the water is transitioned into our water boiler and ice maker, ensuring that the tea and coffee you drink here is made from remarkably clean water — more pure and crisp than water from a mountain spring.
